The entire private use of the main hall and its grounds, with your choice of ceremony space inside or out, it's all for you and your party. Plus the team to help deliver your dream day. From the ceremony, Wedding Breakfast, celebrations, and all the way through to breakfast the following morning, we're here for you.

Your wedding package includes private use of the entire Storrs Hall property and its beautiful grounds, featuring 28 rooms in the main house for you and your guests. For additional accommodation, you can add The Boathouse and six Lakeside Suites at an extra charge. Throughout your planning journey, a dedicated wedding coordinator will be by your side, helping you arrange every detail to create your perfect wedding day.

Tailor Made
The ceremony options are truly spectacular, with your choice of an outdoor celebration in the Garden Pavilion or an intimate indoor service in the elegant Drawing Room. Both locations offer breathtaking lake views as the backdrop to your vows, accommodating up to 80 guests for your civil ceremony. You can even make a memorable entrance via the private jetty if you wish to arrive by boat, or arrange a special cruise for your guests to enjoy the stunning lakeside setting.

Food, Drink & Laughter
Your celebration continues with a champagne reception featuring delicious canapés, followed by a three-course wedding breakfast, tea, coffee, and petit fours. The comprehensive drinks package ensures every guest enjoys a celebratory drink after the ceremony, a carefully selected half bottle of wine with their meal, and champagne for the toast. You'll also have the opportunity to sample your chosen menu with a complimentary tasting for you and your partner during the planning process.

The evening reception welcomes up to 110 guests and includes hot sandwiches, with the option to upgrade to a hot buffet selection. Throughout your celebration, you'll have access to elegant Chiavari wedding chairs, crisp white table linen, and complimentary use of the Storrs Hall cake stand, cake knife, menus, and place cards. A member of the hotel's management team can also serve as your toastmaster if needed, ensuring your day runs smoothly from start to finish.
Ceremony
Choose between the comfortably grand drawing room, the garden pavilion on the West lawn, or the huge South lawn sweeping down to the lake - the latter with room for a marquee.
Feast and merriment
Talk to us about your ideas - from a traditional three-course Wedding Breakfast to your wine list, it's an asset that everything is coordinated in one place by our experienced team. Make the most of our lakeside location with our vintage Citroen catering van, to serve anything from Champagne and canapés through to late evening snacks, (or even bacon butties the following morning).
Photo opportunities
Storrs is a real beauty queen, with a variety of photogenic locations up her sleeve. Our own sleek Abigail Leah, a vintage Thames Slipper Launch is unique on the lake for 'Just Married' photos. From a distinctly Bridgerton vibe with the house, lake views, to wild woodland and perhaps even a fly-past your photos will be memorable.
Add a boat trip
For the entertainment of your party on the day, you can add a Windermere lake cruise right from our jetty. This is organised as an extra event with the Cruises. Storrs' own boat, the vintage Thames Slipper Launch Abigail Leah, can seat 5 adults and the skipper, for a smaller party.

What is included?
Cream Chiavari chairs, tables and table linen, crockery, and glasses. A cake stand, cake knife, plus menus and place cards if required. We can be your Toastmasters. And the entire team to deliver your dream day.

How many bedrooms are there at Storrs?
There are 28 rooms in the main house sleeping 58, some of the rooms can accommodate children too, but please ask. The 6 Lakeside Suites and luxury Boathouse can be added as accommodation at an extra cost.

Can I add extra guests?
We can seat 80 for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. In the evening for your after party, the numbers can increase to 110 people.

Can we have fireworks or confetti?
There are local restrictions on large fireworks displays so we cannot offer them. When it comes to confetti, biodegradable please - and we love how it looks in photographs.

What do you do to help us plan the day?
You have the attention of a dedicated wedding planner from start to finish.

Do you organise the Registrar for us?
No, legally you have to arrange your dream date and confirm all your arrangements directly with them. Registrar’s fees are not included in our package. The Registration Service can be contacted on 0300 373 3300 or email: registration.service@westmorlandandfurness.gov.uk.
