The Perfect Lake District Elopement
Our Just for Two Package
Your romantic elopement includes two nights of accommodation in a luxury lake view room with a romantic dinner on each of the nights. There are room upgrade options available to make your stay even more special such as our beautiful Hot Tub Lake Suites or the very exclusive Boat House.
Each morning begins with a full English breakfast, giving you the perfect start to your days together. The package also includes assistance with all your wedding arrangements, ensuring everything runs smoothly so you can focus on each other.
The most Romantic setting on Lake Windermere
The Choice is Yours
For your ceremony, you can choose between the beautiful Garden Pavilion or The Study - our elegant function room - both offering spectacular settings for exchanging your vows.
Those upgrading to a stay in our exclusive Boat House can also get married on the very private Boat House terrace with unrivalled views of Lake Windermere. Two witnesses will be provided for your ceremony, and you'll celebrate with a glass of champagne immediately afterward.
The romance continues with a three-course dinner in the Lake Edge Restaurant on your wedding day, complete with a bottle of house wine to toast your new beginning.
Just for you & your loved one
Make Unforgettable Memories
Your celebration extends beyond the wedding day with an evening meal in either the Lake Edge Restaurant or Bistro on your second night, and a delightful cream tea on the day of your choice during your stay.
For an extra touch of romance, you can add a lake tour in our elegant vintage Thames Slipper launch, creating even more magical memories of your special time together.
This intimate package proves that sometimes the most beautiful celebrations are the simplest ones, focused entirely on the two people who matter most.
Accommodation
The experience is based on two nights in a Deluxe Lake View Room - with the potential to upgrade to the Lakeside Suites or Boathouse.
Celebratory dining
Dinner is included on both nights of your stay - in the Bistro, and the 1797 Restaurant. Add a Cream Tea on the day of your choice. Breakfast is included.
Celebratory drinks
We deliver glasses of Champagne to toast your vows, and include a bottle of house wine with your dinner on the day of your ceremony.
Ceremony spaces
The intimate study with a lake view is our interior option. Outside, there is the Garden Pavilion, and more exclusively, when you book the Boathouse for both your accommodation and ceremony.

Sunday to Thursday for Just For Twos - all week in the Boathouse subject to Registrars.

Can I pick another room for our elopement?
Yes, you can upgrade to a Lakeside Suite or the Boathouse.

What if we want to sleep separately the night before?
If that's your choice, you can book an extra room. This is not included in the experience.

Do you organise the Registrars for us?
No, legally you have to arrange your dream date and confirm all your arrangements directly with them. Registrar’s fees are not included in our package.

Can we invite a few guests to our elopement?
Yes! We allow up to 6 additional guests to join you on your elopement style wedding.

Do you offer any photography or videography services?
We work closely with local photographers and anyone else supplying wedding services. We have a list of recommended suppliers and you can see some examples of work on our Weddings Instagram account @wedding_at_storrs

Can we personalise our ceremony?
You can arrange everything relating to your ceremony including details such as vows, music, or readings with the registrars.

Is there a wedding coordinator on the day?
Yes – a wedding coordinator or manager will look after your special day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Do you provide flowers or can we bring our own?
Please bring your own flowers. We have a list of recommended suppliers who can create the most stunning flower bouquets and arrangements fro your Lake District elopement.

Are there hair and makeup services available on-site or nearby?
There are some fabulous hair and makeup services available. We can recommended some who have local salons or who can come to the hotel - just ask us when you come to view our hotel.

Can we have a cake, even if it’s just the two of us?
Of course! And we can provide a cake stand or knife to complete the package.

Is music included or can we bring our own playlist?
We can play music through our speakers from any Spotify playlist so feel free to choose your favourite songs to make the occasion even more memorable.

Can we have live music or a musician?
Yes, you are welcome to have musicians for your ceremony – previously we have had harpists, singes, violinists and even string quartets. Ask us for recommendations.

Do you provide witnesses if we don’t have any?
Yes, we love being part of your special day and are happy to act as witnesses for you.
