It takes skill to make delivery of excellent service look effortless and natural. The team at Storrs have years of experience, and a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Andy Nicholson | General Manager

Andy joined Storrs Hall back in 2017, with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, from running other four-star properties and being a qualified chef. He has been a GM in the Lake District for over 13 years and knows the area very well.

Sarah | Deputy General Manager

Has been at Storrs Hall since 2017 running the day-to-day operations and encouraging high standards throughout. She has many years of experience at Betty’s of Harrogate Tea Rooms, as well as previously running another four red-star Lake District hotel alongside Andy.

Marcin | Duty Manager

Having worked alongside many of the team previously for over 10 years, and at several top-name Lake District hotels Marcin’s another 2017 starter. A little-known fact about him is that he creates the Christmas magic at Storrs.

Marcus | Assistant Manager

Joining us from Lakeside in 2022, Marcus has developed our cellar and wine list - winning us an AA Notable Wine List Award in 2023. He's sought out makers and suppliers who offer something different, and who often work sustainably.

Sara | Restaurant Manager

Promoted to Restaurant Manager in 2024, Sara’s calm and efficient delivery of service makes her perfect for the role. She’s a keen traveller in her holidays so has wide experience of international hospitality as both a team member and guest.

Martyn | Head Chef

With an experienced background in private members clubs and Michelin star restaurants before opening an award winning 'Top50 gastropub', Martyn is putting Storrs on the culinary map. Passionate about creativity and continually evolving seasonal menus, Martyn uses the very best of local produce delighting our guests each and every time they dine with us.

Eloise | Head Pastry Chef

As the lady in charge of creating our beautiful Afternoon Teas here at Storrs, Eloise has an experienced background in patisserie and creative concept development. Eloise's delightful cakes are almost too good to eat but trust us, they taste every bit as amazing as they look!

Amy | Reception & Revenue Manager

Amy has worked alongside Andy and Sarah for years, she has gained diverse experience across a variety of hospitality roles – she’s multi-talented. Most of you will know her friendly voice from when she helps you with a reservation.

Julia | Events & Weddings Manager

It takes skill to negotiate the arrangements for someone’s dream day when emotions are so heavily invested in what is one of life’s most important moments. Julia has years of experience, she’s a safe pair of hands and can also help with the organisation of events and other special occasions.
