The Bistro at Storrs Hall opens Friday 6th October
Our brand new Lake District destination dining space, deliberately created to be a relaxed and unstuffy experience, where you can enjoy great quality food.
Sitting on the ground floor of the Victorian wing, in what was previously the kitchens before being relocated into their new state of the art, eco, purpose built space.
The Bistro was taken back to the proportions of the original Victorian space, the corridor restored, and all redecorated in a simple but bold style, with statement contemporary lighting and colourful original artworks set against deep red or dark smoky blue walls.
Head Chef Andy Beaton has devised a generous menu, featuring the kind of popular, traditional dishes we all love to eat. As with all his food, he’s using great local and seasonal produce, there’s no stinting on care and quality.
Example dishes from the menu include nibbles of Tapenade with Sourdough Croutons; a starter of Lobster and Prawn Cocktail; a main course of Parmesan and Chive Risotto or a steak off the grill; finish with a Banana Souffle, (or Cheeses). I’ve you’ve got a big appetite you have a choice of side dishes too.
The Bistro at Storrs Hall is open for lunch and dinner, and bookable online – we do advise booking in advance as there are few destination dining spaces offering an extensive quality menu in such a beautiful space and lakeside location. (We’ve also got free off-street private parking too – and 8 EV charging points).
Check out the Bistro information via our Eat & Drink page, the menu is listed – including the Children’s Menu, and the Wine and Drink Menus.
